In Berlin, there is a group of us that get together from time to time to play music. One of my favorite spots for this is our friend, Dave Hedderman’s painting studio (www.davidhedderman.com) that he shares with luthier Matthias von Wallbrunn (www.von-wallbrunn.de). It’s beautiful singing with the instruments resonating all around – opening my eyes and seeing flashes of Dave’s beautiful universe hanging on the walls around… Last may, i did a concert there for a few friends.

In Belgium, we have friends up and down the country that lend us wonderful spaces to make noise in… There was the Sans Souci Social Cloub, where we recorded the “live and sans souci” album; the Girls in Hawaii space, where we recorded alot of the “Dreams for Dreamers” album; the music shop De Musica, where we did numerous sessions; here is a song from a wine-cellar in Louvain-la-Neuve called Grape N Roll.

Video 01: Believe, Live in Bruxelles.
It has been almost a year since we released “Dreams for Dreamers”. During that year, whenever nobody was watching, we would discretely place cameras around to capture a bit of a show or rehearsal. During the next few weeks, we will share some of these with you. For our first installment, let me tell you about a concert we did prior to the album’s release: some of us opened for Villagers (eek!) in the Botanique in Bruxelles, the rest brought cameras and captured the occasion… 🙂
Lovely Joseph from Grin & Bear Films brought me to Cafe Pförtner in Berlin, where we ate curry and made a wee video for Thaias Kept, the song on Dreams for Dreamers about a time-travelling lady of the night…
